Meet Robin Norwood

At Robin Norwood Interiors, our mission is simple: preserving history, with a modern touch. Every project is about finding balance—honoring the past while embracing the present. Whether it’s breathing life back into a 100-year-old Tudor or incorporating timeless details into a new build, I believe in weaving together layers of history and modernity to create something that feels both fresh and enduring.

A little bit about me. I grew up in a charming coastal town two hours outside Seattle called Aberdeen (also the hometown of Kurt Cobain). I love the Pacific Northwest - there’s a unique blend of strength and simplicity in the landscape. I loved the rain soaked forests, misty beaches, and moss -covered everything. I grew up spending time with my family on the beaches of the Washington coast and hiking the trails of the Olympic National Forest, where I learned to appreciate the quiet strength of nature. Like many people, I didn’t always know what I wanted to do, but looking back it’s easy to see how my path led me to interior design. Creativity has always been in my DNA. From painting to photography, dressmaking to drawing, I explored every artistic outlet I could growing up. Each pursuit taught me something new about color, texture, and composition, and interior design eventually became the perfect way to bring all those creative passions together. For me, designing a home is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about telling a story through space.

Today, my husband and I live in a darling 1931 Tudor in Salt Lake City with our black lab, Lucy. We enjoy everything outdoors—skiing, camping, fly fishing, hiking, and of course, antiquing on the weekends! I particularly love the history and charm in Salt Lake City’s older neighborhoods. From craftsman bungalows to Tudors like ours, each one has a unique history - arched doorways, intricate woodwork, and the sense of history in every creak of the floorboards. Living in a historic home has deepened my passion for preserving what makes each space unique while making it livable for the modern world.

Every space has a story to tell. My goal is to bring that story to life.
